Service and Sermon Archives
He is risen, He is risen indeed! Easter is the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead. He is really alive and we will live through Him. What looked like defeat was part of God’s plan for victory. It was through Jesus’ death that death was defeated because Christ rose! Jesus’ victory becomes our victory when we believe in Him. This morning we are celebrating the cornerstone of Christianity, which is a historical fact. Everything hinges on the resurrection. Sometimes, we have our questions and doubts about what happened. One of Jesus’ closest disciples, Thomas, expressed great skepticism and doubt as well to Jesus rising from the dead. This Easter, we are going to see the truth, eternal significance, power and hope that the resurrection of Jesus produces. We are going to walk through John 20 and “doubting Thomas’” story to see how he moved from a hardened skeptic to one of the most influential followers of Christ.
