SERMON SERIES: WORSHIP

We are starting a new short series for the month of August on Worship. What is worship? That is a really important question to know. There seems to be a lot of confusion on what it actually is. Sometimes we think worship is just signing. People make statements like these, “worship was great today because they played my favorite songs,” or “I did not connect with worship because people’s hands were not raised.” Signing is indeed an expression of worship but it is way deeper than that. Jesus tells us in John 4 that, “true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.” It is vital for us to understand that worship is not just a part of our lives, but it is what we do with our lives. All of life is worship. It is not something that is just done on a certain day or location. We worship God by how and why we live.
