July 16 | The Next Gen is Here – Josh Broyles
Synopsis: This generation of youth are world changers, yet so many people look down on them or
only have negative things to say. Instead, we need to be the kind of people who come alongside them, empower them, and set the standard of what it looks like to live for Jesus. Titus 2 outlines for us “what to do” and “what not to do” in order to live uprightly.
Fighter Verse: Galatians 6:2 – “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”

What’s Happening?
CHAT-A-LATTE’ | JULY 15 AT 9:30AM
All Lakes Women are welcome and encouraged to attend our Chat-a-latte from 9:30-11:30am in the atrium. Bring a friend, and come relax, drink coffee (or tea), enjoy one another’s company, and get to know some new people!
BABY BOTTLE BOOMERANG | JULY 16
We will be collecting the baby bottles for the Baby Bottle Boomerang this Sunday. The Next Steps Pregnancy Center is also accepting donations of unopened baby wipes and hand soap. If you have either of these you would like to donate, please bring them Sunday and drop them off at the Welcome Desk.
BRUNCH | JULY 16
This Sunday is Brunch on the patio! Following both services please join us for some food and time of community with your Lakes Church Family. We look forward to seeing you!
VBS 2023 | JULY 17-20
Please join us in prayer for the kids and leaders this coming week as they learn more about Jesus at VBS! We are so excited!
VBS 2023 is almost here! This year, we’ll be celebrating all kinds of games. From classic tabletop games to strategy games to video games and more, children will play their way through our week of VBS! But more importantly, they’ll see Jesus through the eyes of one of His closest friends and discover that trusting Jesus as Savior and following Him changes the game entirely!
Here are the details:
Monday, July 17th, through Thursday, July 20th
Nightly from 5:15pm to 8:45pm
Open to all children age 4 through 5th Grade (grade entering in the Fall of 2023)

Core Ministries – Weekly Update
EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:30 Sunday services.
ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during The 9:30 and 11:30 services and Tuesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!

THURSDAY YOUTH GROUP – Middle School and High School students meet on Thursdays from 6:30-8:30pm for a combined youth group service.
