June 4 | Mission and Values – Part 1: The Mission of The Lakes (Matthew 28:18-20) – Pastor Mark Pospisil
Synopsis: What is the mission of the church? We do not have to guess the answer. Jesus Christ gave us a clear mission in Matthew 28:18-20. The Lord has commissioned us to know Him and make Him known. For the month of June, we will be walking through the Mission and Values of The Lakes Church. This will be an amazing time for our church to realign our hearts as well as find our purpose and place to contribute to the Lord’s work. We can never drift in the mission that the Lord has clearly given us. Our mission is clear and our values are what makes The Lakes Church unique while supporting the mission.
Fighter Verse: Matthew 28:18-20 – “And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.””

Brunch on the Patio | June 4
Join us on June 4th following both services for brunch on the patio. This is always a great time to get to know your Lakes family and enjoy the sunshine!
Cars & Coffee | June 4 at 8:30am
Join us for Cars and Coffee, June 10 from 8:30am -10:30am in the lower parking lot. We hope to see you there!
Baptism Sunday | June 18
Baptism is the natural next step once we are saved! It represents the new life that Jesus’ resurrection gives us and is a public sign of our faith in Christ. If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, we invite you to take this opportunity to demonstrate your faith in Christ.
We will have an opportunity to get baptized during both services on this Sunday. Please fill out this form to let me know you are interested in getting baptized!
VBS 2023 IS OPEN FOR REGISTRATION! | JULY 17-20
It’s happening!!! VBS 2023 is almost here! This year, we’ll be celebrating all kinds of games. From classic tabletop games to strategy games to video games and more, children will play their way through our week of VBS! But more importantly, they’ll see Jesus through the eyes of one of His closest friends and discover that trusting Jesus as Savior and following Him changes the game entirely!
Here are the details:
Monday, July 17th, through Thursday, July 20th
Nightly from 5:15pm to 8:45pm
Open to all children age 4 through 5th Grade (grade entering in the Fall of 2023)
LAKES FAMILY CAMPOUT | JULY 21-23

Core Ministries – Weekly Update
OK – God gave the Israelites really specific instructions on how to build a massive, ornate, beautiful….tent. Huh? It must have been for the people to sleep in. No? Then to store food? For their animals? No! This was going to be God’s Tent, and they needed to set it up and then tear it down and carry it with them wherever they went. As curious as it might seem, this tent teaches us some important lessons about God!
EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:30 Sunday services.
ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during The 9:30 and 11:30 services and Tuesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!

Registration is open for VBS, July 17-20, 2023!
THURSDAY YOUTH GROUP – Middle School and High School students meet on Thursdays from 6:30-8:30pm for a combined youth group service.
MONDAY HIGH SCHOOL GROW GROUPS – Grow Groups meet weekly on Mondays at Josh and Cassie’s house in Clarkston. Please email Josh if you are interested in attending! josh.broyles@thelakescc.org
