May 28 | Genesis, Part 32: Trusting God Through It All (Genesis 50:15-21) – Mike Snyder
Synopsis: As we bring our Genesis series to a close, we’ll be looking at the life and mindset of Joseph. He was a favored son that was given a vision of his future by God, a future that was good, but Joseph experienced betrayal, false accusations, and imprisonment before that came to pass. Through it all, Joseph remained faithful, and the Lord continued to be with Joseph and bless him in every circumstance. Today, we’ll talk about how we, like Joseph, can remain faithful through the ups and downs of life by not putting ourselves in God’s place and trusting in God’s faithfulness, lovingkindness and providence.
Fighter Verse: Psalm 34:19 – “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”

What’s Happening?
Baptism Sunday | June 18
Baptism is the natural next step once we are saved! It represents the new life that Jesus’ resurrection gives us and is a public sign of our faith in Christ. If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, we invite you to take this opportunity to demonstrate your faith in Christ.
We will have an opportunity to get baptized during both services on this Sunday. Please fill out this form to let me know you are interested in getting baptized!
VBS 2023 IS OPEN FOR REGISTRATION! | JULY 17-20
It’s happening!!! VBS 2023 is almost here! This year, we’ll be celebrating all kinds of games. From classic tabletop games to strategy games to video games and more, children will play their way through our week of VBS! But more importantly, they’ll see Jesus through the eyes of one of His closest friends and discover that trusting Jesus as Savior and following Him changes the game entirely!
Here are the details:
Monday, July 17th, through Thursday, July 20th
Nightly from 5:15pm to 8:45pm
Open to all children age 4 through 5th Grade (grade entering in the Fall of 2023)
LAKES FAMILY CAMPOUT | JULY 21-23

Core Ministries – Weekly Update
Man…..the Israelites sure forgot about all God had done for them to be freed from slavery and provided for in the wilderness! To find them worshipping a golden calf might seem like a surprise. But when we think about the reason why the Israelites fell into idolatry, we can recognize how we might be vulnerable to the exact same thing!
EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:30 Sunday services.
ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during The 9:30 and 11:30 services and Tuesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!

THURSDAY YOUTH GROUP – Middle School and High School students meet on Thursdays from 6:30-8:30pm for a combined youth group service.
MONDAY HIGH SCHOOL GROW GROUPS – Grow Groups meet weekly on Mondays at Josh and Cassie’s house in Clarkston. Please email Josh if you are interested in attending! josh.broyles@thelakescc.org
