June 25 | Mission and Values – Part 4: Christlike Integrity, Being Inviting, and Radical Generosity – Pastor Mark Pospisil
Synopsis: This week we finish our Mission series looking at our last three Core Values. They are Christlike Integrity, Being Inviting, and Radical Generosity. There is a huge need for us to understand what these mean for our lives. They come right from God’s Word and are so essential today. When we know Christ, the Holy Spirit produces these fruits in our lives. These Core Values are the DNA of our church and are what makes The Lakes unique and distinct as we seek to know Christ and make Him known.
Fighter Verse: Romans 12:2 – Do not be conformed to this world,[c] but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

What’s Happening?
Hope for Parents of Prodigals | June 24
VBS 2023 | JULY 17-20
It’s happening!!! VBS 2023 is almost here! This year, we’ll be celebrating all kinds of games. From classic tabletop games to strategy games to video games and more, children will play their way through our week of VBS! But more importantly, they’ll see Jesus through the eyes of one of His closest friends and discover that trusting Jesus as Savior and following Him changes the game entirely!
Here are the details:
Monday, July 17th, through Thursday, July 20th
Nightly from 5:15pm to 8:45pm
Open to all children age 4 through 5th Grade (grade entering in the Fall of 2023)
LAKES FAMILY CAMPOUT | JULY 21-23
This is our annual church family outing to Somerset Beach Campground! Bring your camper or tent and camping gear for this fun weekend at the lake. Play on the beach, hike, swim, play volleyball or softball, sit around the bonfire, or just relax with friends. The cost for the campsite is $95 for the weekend, and food for the potluck/ice cream social is $12 per person (ages 6 and over). REGISTER HERE to reserve your campsite now!

Core Ministries – Weekly Update
How many of us have categorized sin in the past? Well, yeah….I did x. But at least I didn’t do y! Whether we mean to or not, we’re probably all guilty of that at some point. This week we’ll be focusing on how, though sins might have different consequences based on their severity, ALL sins are serious and a rebellion against a holy and just God!
EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:30 Sunday services.
ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during The 9:30 and 11:30 services and Tuesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!
UPCOMING EVENTS:
Registration is open for VBS, July 17-20, 2023!
THURSDAY YOUTH GROUP – Middle School and High School students meet on Thursdays from 6:30-8:30pm for a combined youth group service.
MONDAY HIGH SCHOOL GROW GROUPS – Grow Groups meet weekly on Mondays at Josh and Cassie’s house in Clarkston. Please email Josh if you are interested in attending! josh.broyles@thelakescc.org
