May 24 | 1 John, Without a Shadow of a Doubt – Part 15: What Happens When The Church Loves One Another, 1 John 4:13-21 – Pastor Chris Clark
Synopsis: The instruction in 1 John 4:7 is not a suggestion; it is an order. So much is riding on how well the church loves one another. In fact, effectively accomplishing the mission of the church hinges on this single issue. John points to a number of factors that are affected by how well the church loves one another. As we study 1 John 4:13-21, we will discover five actions that occur when the church excels at loving one another.
Fighter Verse: 1 John 4:21 – And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.

BAPTISM | JUNE 14
Baptism is the natural next step once we are saved! It represents the new life that Jesus’ resurrection gives us and is a public sign of our faith in Christ. If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, we invite you to take this opportunity to demonstrate your faith in Christ.
We will have an opportunity to get baptized during all services on this Sunday. Please fill out this form to let me know you are interested in getting baptized!
VBS | 7/20-23
This summer’s Vacation Bible School at The Lakes Church will be about bringing hope to an anxious generation, as kids learn about the life of David while answering the question, “Is there a God who cares?” Come check out all the fun teachings, crafts, music, games, and more!
Monday, July 20th through Thursday, July 23rd | 6:00pm to 8:30pm nightly.
This event is open to any child Age 4 (must be 4 by 7/20/2026) through entering 5th Grade in the Fall of 2026.

Get ready for one of our favorite traditions of the year—our 15th Annual Church Family Outing at Somerset Beach Campground! This is more than just a weekend away—it’s a chance to unplug, recharge, and connect with friends and family in a beautiful lakeside setting.
Whether you’re bringing a camper or pitching a tent, there’s something for everyone:
– Soak up the sun on the beach
– Take a refreshing swim in the lake

– Jump into volleyball, pickleball, or cornhole games

Core Ministries – Weekly Update
Paul wrote to the church in Corinth, encouraging them towards unity. It’s too easy to become divided within the church – this passage reminds us that we each have a role to play in the mission of sharing the gospel. Our differences can serve to strengthen us, but only if we walk together in obedience to Jesus.
EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:15 Sunday services.
ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during the 9:30 and 11:15 services and Wednesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!
INFANT AND TODDLER STORYTIME – Looking for a Christ-centered way to break up your day, and get to meet other Moms with Littles? Come check out The Lakes Children Infant & Toddler Story Time. Ages 4 and under. 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 10am-12pm in the upper level of the church.

MONDAY NIGHT YOUNG ADULT GROUP –Looking for community, purpose, and real connection? Join our Young Adult Ministry—a place to grow in faith, build friendships, and navigate life together. Whether you’re in college, starting your career, or figuring things out—we’ve got a seat for you! Ages 18 (post high school) through 29, join us on Mondays from 7:00-9:00pm.
