December 17 | Advent – Part 3: Peace – Pastor Mark Pospisil

Synopsis: The 3^rd week of Advent is focused on peace. We need peace in our lives and souls. We all have an inner turmoil in our souls longing for harmony. Whether that is from guilt and shame, looking for a purpose and meaning, or anything. Peace is lacking in our lives. The good news is that in Jesus’ advent, He came to bring peace to us. He is the Prince of peace (Isa 9:6). The Lord is the God of peace who will crush satan under our feet (Rom 16:20). We have peace with God through Jesus (Rom 5:1). We are now called to be peacemakers. Through Jesus, we can have real, tangible, experienced peace with God, others, and in our hearts.

Fighter Verse: Romans 16:20 – “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.”

LAKES OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY | DEC 16

One of The Lakes Church’s values is to Be Inviting. On December 16th at 9:30, we will be meeting at the church where we will then go out into the community and invite our neighbors to Christmas Eve services at The Lakes. We hope that you will join us, the whole family is welcome!

CHRISTMAS EVE | DEC 24

Join us on Christmas Eve as we center our hearts on, and thank God for His greatest gift in Jesus Christ! We will have four services: 9am, 11am and 1pm and a candlelight service at 11pm.

We will have Kids Creek at the 9am, 11am, and 1pm services.

Core Ministries – Weekly Update

Christmas is almost here! We’re getting excited! But probably not as excited as Mary and Joseph when an Angel appeared to them and shared that they had been chosen to birth the Savior of the world! People had been waiting a long time for Jesus. But that time was almost here!

EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:15 Sunday services.

ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during The 9:30 and 11:15 services and Wednesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!
