December 10 | Advent – Part 2: Joy – Pastor Mark Pospisil
Synopsis: One thing that we usually lack is joy. Yet, the Lord repeatedly tells us to rejoice. We are told that the joy of the Lord is our strength (Neh 8:10). We are exhorted to rejoice always (Phil 4:4). For the 2nd week of Advent we are focusing on joy. Jesus’ birth brought us good news of great joy for all people. When we know Him as Lord and Savior, we get to experience the joy of God. Jesus wants our joy to overflow (John 15:11). When we rest and trust in what He has done for us, the fruit is joy in our lives.
Fighter Verse: Luke 2:10-11 – “And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

HAPPEE DAZED CHRISTMAS SHOW | DEC 14
Thursday, Dec 14th is the Happee Dazed Christmas Show. At 6pm there will be family fun in the atrium and on the patio! Sign up to sing Christmas karaoke, take photos by the jukebox, drink hot chocolate and enjoy some finger foods. The show itself, beginning at 7pm, is an interactive retelling of the Christmas Story with songs and attire from the 50’s and 60’s. This is a great opportunity to invite family and friends to dust off their poodle skirts and leather jackets for some hoppin’ Christmas fun!

Core Ministries – Weekly Update
We’ve been learning all about sin and just how devastating it can be. But when we see someone else sinning against us, we sometimes want them to be judged for what they’re doing. This week we’ll be going back to Genesis where Abraham pleaded for God to show mercy to other sinners, not because they deserved it, but because he knew his own great need for God’s mercy as well!
EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:15 Sunday services.
ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during The 9:30 and 11:15 services and Wednesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!

Kids Creek Christmas Party | Friday, December 8th, 6-9pm.
WEDNESDAY YOUTH GROUP – Middle School and High School students meet on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm for a combined youth group service.
