September 27 | Revelation – The End and the Beginning, Part 3: Seeing the King of Kings, Revelation 1:9-20 – Pastor Mark Pospisil
Synopsis: When you think of Jesus, what comes to your mind? How would you describe Him? The book of Revelation gives us many “depictions” of the exalted Christ. In the first chapter, the Apostle John is given a vision of heaven and gets a glimpse of Jesus. He describes it vividly. It is so overwhelming that he proclaims in Revelation 1:17, “When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead.” Just imagine that. John, one of Jesus’ closest disciples, gets one sight and is so overwhelmed that he can only fall down as though dead. We are going to unpack the rest of Revelation 1 and see who Jesus is. All of the descriptions about Him are pointing to His authority and glory. The more we know who Jesus, the more it transforms and changes us to become who the Lord designed us to be.
Fighter Verse: “When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, 18 and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.” – Revelation 1:17-18

THEOLOGY REFRESH | 9/26
Join us for Theology Refresh—a once-a-month Saturday class at 10am in the Worship Center, designed to deepen your understanding of God’s Word and strengthen your faith. Each month, we’ll explore a different theological topic in a way that’s both engaging and accessible, whether you’re new to the faith or have been walking with Jesus for years. Come ready to learn, ask questions, and be refreshed in your knowledge of who God is and what He has done.
Q&A | 9/27
Stick around after the third service on one Sunday of each month for a Q&A time with Pastor Mark. This is a great opportunity to ask questions about the message, faith, or anything you’ve been wondering about. Pastor Mark will take time to share insights, dive a little deeper into Scripture, and have real conversations about life and faith. Don’t miss this chance to connect, learn, and grow together!

REVELATION WORSHIP NIGHT | 10/4
Join us for a special evening of Scripture and worship as we journey through the book of Revelation together. We’ll read selected portions of Revelation and respond through worship, singing songs that reflect the major themes and promises found throughout the book.
MIDDLE SCHOOL CONFERENCE | 10/23-24
Converge is an exciting weekend where middle school youth groups from around the area come together at Ward Church for a weekend packed with fun, community, and faith!
Students will experience worship, engaging sessions, laser tag, escape rooms, inflatables, sports tournaments, and more. It’s a great opportunity for students to connect with other middle schoolers, have a ton of fun, and grow in their faith.

Core Ministries – Weekly Update
Revelation 5 shows us that no one has been found worthy to break the seal of this great scroll. This somber realization led the apostle to weep…..until his gaze was lifted up to Jesus. John’s vision of heaven in Revelation offers us a glimpse of Jesus’ worthiness and heaven’s splendor, as those found in Him will abide with Him forever.
EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:15 Sunday services.
ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during the 9:30 and 11:15 services and Wednesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!
INFANT AND TODDLER STORYTIME – Looking for a Christ-centered way to break up your day, and get to meet other Moms with Littles? Come check out The Lakes Children Infant & Toddler Story Time. Ages 4 and under. Every Tuesday of from 10am-12pm in the upper level of the church.
