August 27 | Proverbs – The Wisdom of God for Today’s Issues: Part 4 – Diligence vs Laziness – Mark Pospisil
Synopsis: The book of Proverbs gives us so much practical wisdom for our lives. This is especially true when it comes to how we go about our lives and work. There are countless verses addressing the sluggard and the diligent. The sluggard is the lazy person who “craves and gets nothing” (Proverbs 13:4). They cannot be trusted and will never get anywhere in life. While the “hand of the diligent will rule” (Proverbs 12:24). This is the person who works unto the Lord and can accomplish what they set their heart on. The Lord wants to form us to be people that know how to work hard and rest hard. We find the motivation to be diligent through Jesus knowing that in the Lord our labor is not in vain.
Fighter Verse: Proverbs 13:4 – The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied.

WOMEN’S FALL BIBLE STUDY | SEPTEMBER 12
In this 7-session study, join six beloved Bible teachers who will help you study prayers in the Bible that can inspire your own. You’ll learn that God welcomes your praise and lament, your thanksgiving and intercession. You’ll see examples of how to pray when you’re alone and when you’re gathered with others. Above all, you’ll notice there’s no one right way to pray. As you draw near to God through prayer, you’ll find your faith strengthened and your heart united to Christ.
WOMEN’S RETREAT | OCTOBER 6-8
Lakes Women (18+) join us for this exciting weekend filled with inspiring teaching, fun activities and great food, and plenty of time to relax and hang out with other women. Learn about having an “Abundant Life” (John 10:10) and be challenged in your spiritual growth with Biblical messages that will strengthen you as women of faith.
This event will be held at Faholo Conference Center in Grass Lake, MI from October 6-8. The cost for food and lodging for the weekend is $175 (until 9/1) and $185 after (with some activities costing extra).

Core Ministries – Weekly Update
PROMOTION SUNDAY! Children who are moving classrooms this year will be in their new rooms for the first time! So exciting!
EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:30 Sunday services.
ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during The 9:30 and 11:30 services and Tuesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!
