April 21 | Romans – Grasping The Gospel, Romans 5:1-5, Part 13: Peace in Trials – Pastor Mark Pospisil
Synopsis: We are all seeking for peace. Yet, it seems that so many things rob us of it. This is especially true when we go through various trials and suffer. The good news is that God is the God of peace. Through Jesus Christ, we have peace with God. This is foundational for life and our faith. When we experience peace with God, it allows us to have peace in every and all situations. We can “rejoice in our sufferings” which seems like an impossibility because we know the outcome. The Lord takes the things that could have ruined us and turns them for our good. He also gives us assurance that everything will work out by pouring His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit.
Fighter Verse: Romans 5:1 – “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

MEN’S ADVANCE | MAY 17-19
You don’t want to miss this exciting weekend! Join with other Lakes Men (16+) to be challenged to grow in our faith and fellowship together, as we enjoy lots of food and fun activities together. This event will be held at Faholo Conference Center in Grass Lake, MI from May 17-19. Early registration cost for food and lodging for the weekend is $170, increasing to $180 after April 28 (some activities cost extra).

Core Ministries – Weekly Update
We’ve been learning all about idols. How we sometimes place things in our lives without regard for God’s instructions on how we should live. As a result, our sin becomes a statement in how we believe our ways are better than God’s. But…it gets worse. We’ll be looking this week at how our sinful actions tell a story to those around us of what we believe!
EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:15 Sunday services.
ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during the 9:30 and 11:15 services and Wednesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!
