March 3 | Romans – Grasping The Gospel, Romans 2:12-29, Part 7: Image Is Not Everything, God Changes our Hearts – Mark Pospisil
Synopsis:People spend a substantial amount of effort and attention on their image. We are oftentimes so focused on what others think about us. There are things that we want people to see and some things we want to keep hidden. In Romans 2, we see that image is not everything. It is actually nothing when it comes to the Lord. The Lord is interested in the inward person. He writes His truth on our hearts and has blessed us with a conscience. Dead religion focused exclusively on the outside of do’s and don’ts. Dead religion also lives by the letter instead of by the Spirit. The Lord is focused on the inside and transforming us by the Holy Spirit.
Fighter Verse: Romans 2:29 – “But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God.”

WOMEN’S PRAYER MEETING | MARCH 2
ABIDE IN PEACE WOMEN’S CONFERENCE | MARCH 9
Registration closes March 4th!
Join us for this wonderful time when women can come together to learn and grow spiritually and be encouraged to Abide in Peace every day as we walk together with the Lord. The day will include Worship, two of our own speakers (Karen Fralick and Tami Hall), break-out discussion groups, and a nice lunch! The cost is only $30 per attendee.
ALL CHURCH FAMILY MEETING | MARCH 17
Join us on Match 17th as we look back over 2023 and celebrate all God has done at The Lakes Church. This meeting will take place right after the third service at 12:30.

Core Ministries – Weekly Update
This week is our Big Truth Session! We’ll be moving out of the Old Testament and into the New Testament as we focus a little more on mercy. We’ll be looking at one of Jesus’ parables and showing how everyone is a sinner that needs God’s mercy and forgiveness.
EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:15 Sunday services.
ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during The 9:30 and 11:15 services and Wednesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!
UPCOMING EVENTS:
WEDNESDAY YOUTH GROUP – Middle School and High School students meet on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm for a combined youth group service.
