October 1 | Proverbs – The Wisdom of God for Today’s Issues: Part 9 – Generosity vs Greed – Ken Grace
Synopsis: Proverbs is the Book of Wisdom. Not to pass a test but to apply the truths of God in a prudent
way. Wisdom can be described as the prudent application of truth. Very few issues present the
opportunity for stress in our lives more than money. This morning we will take a look at how to
“honor the Lord with your wealth.”
Fighter Verse: Proverbs 3:9 – Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.

What’s Happening?
RUN TO SET THEM FREE 5K/10K | OCTOBER 21
Join walkers and runners from all over the Metro Detroit area as The Lakes Church partners with Hope Against Trafficking for the “Run To Set Them Free 5K/10K” in the beautiful setting of Kensington Metropark. The start and finish location will be East Boat Launch Parking Area. The route will be paved and is stroller friendly.
Your participation will raise funds to help support Hope Against Trafficking and have a great impact within our community.
HARVEST FEST CANDY DONATION
Harvest Fest is quickly approaching (October 26). And with that, comes a great need for candy. We are now taking donations! If you would like to donate, we will have a place for you to drop it off in the atrium in the coming weeks.

Core Ministries – Weekly Update
For the last several weeks, we’ve been learning all about miracles! The Bible is the 100% true Word of God. And it is filled with so many accounts of supernatural events throughout both the Old and New Testaments. Each miracle points to a greater reality for the world we live in and reveals to us what God’s character is like!
EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:15 Sunday services.
ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during The 9:30 and 11:15 services and Wednesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!

THURSDAY YOUTH GROUP – Middle School and High School students meet on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm for a combined youth group service.
