January 7 | People Have Plans. God Has Purpose. – Ken Grace

Synopsis: Plans. Dreams. Most people have them. Dreams can be scary, happy, fun, sad and sometimes…motivating. Dreams are not just limited to sleep. We have had dreams, or plans, for our children, our future, our health or even a vacation. God has a dream for each of us. And when we get a glimpse of His dream for us, it will present opportunities for some redirection and change. Today we will see how God used dreams to do just that.

Fighter Verse: Daniel 6:10 – “When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem.”

What’s Happening?

ROOTED SMALL GROUP | JAN 15

Rooted is designed for all people but especially new people to the church, new Christians, and those who are looking for a refresh to their spiritual lives. This is a 10-week study of the foundational aspects of the Christian faith.

CHAT-A-LATTE’ | JAN 20

All Lakes Women are welcome and encouraged to attend our Chat-a-latte from 9:30-11:00am in the atrium. Bring a friend, and come relax, drink coffee (or tea), enjoy one another’s company, and get to know some new people!

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY | JAN 23

Please join us for this exciting and informative study called “Abide” as Jen Wilkins examines 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John. It will be held at The Lakes church in the upper level, large group room, on TUESDAYS. You can join either the new daytime class from 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm or the evening class from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm beginning January 23. The cost for this study is $27 and is available to ladies 18 and older.

Core Ministries – Weekly Update

Welcome to 2024! How many of us have ever judged a book by its cover? Or ruled someone out because of what we thought we knew of them? Well….this week we’ll be learning all about David and how his outside appearance and you age may not have fit with what everyone else thought a king should be.

EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:15 Sunday services.

ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during The 9:30 and 11:15 services and Wednesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!
