Seeking God | Day 19
2 Corinthians 4:4
In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
We have a terrible enemy who opposes God and hates mankind. He is the devil and is a deceiver. His goal is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). He is doomed, and already defeated through Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection. He has no power over us in Christ, but his goal is to keep people from seeing who Jesus is. Through temptations, trials, and many distractions he attempts to “blind” people from believing the gospel. Jesus came to destroy the works of the evil one. He has come to bring us life and life abundantly. The same God who said, “let there be light,” is showing the true Light of the World to all people.
PRAYER – Pray that God would remove the blinders over people’s hearts. Pray that God would be working in the next generation and youth to not believe the lies around them but to come to trust in Christ.
