August 6 | Proverbs – The Wisdom of God for Today’s Issues: Part 1 – The Fear of the Lord – Mark Pospisil

Synopsis: There is an incredible need for wisdom today. Our world is constantly changing and also extremely confused. Good is called evil and evil is called good. There is so much to navigate. Thankfully, God has given us His unchanging Word. He has given us wisdom to handle each and every situation. We have everything we need for life and godliness. Proverbs gives us God’s wisdom for today’s issues. This morning we are starting out with the foundation of wisdom and knowledge which is found in the fear of the Lord. What does it mean to fear God? How does that actually free us from every other fear in our lives? We will answer these questions and more.

Fighter Verse: Proverbs 1:7 – The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.

WOMEN’S MOVIE NIGHT | AUGUST 9

Ladies ages 16 and up! Have a fun and relaxing evening out with friends and other ladies from The Lakes as we watch the inspiring movie War Room featuring Priscilla Shirer. Join us on Wednesday, Aug. 9 beginning at 6:30 pm in the Large Group Room in the Youth area. The movie is free – however, space is limited, so register here! Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.

SUMMER FEST AND BAPTISM | AUGUST 13

Save-the-date and invite your neighbors, friends, and family to this special outdoor Service in the park at Multi-Lakes Conservation Assoc. (3860 Newton Rd, Commerce Charter Twp, MI 48382) on Sunday, August 13 at 10am. Join us for this exciting morning of Worship & Message ‘under-the-tent’, followed by a BBQ picnic and an afternoon of fun treats and activities for the the whole family!

EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:30 Sunday services.

ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during The 9:30 and 11:30 services and Tuesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!
