May 14 | Genesis, Part 30: Cultivating a Resilient Faith (Genesis 37) – Pastor Mark Pospisil

Synopsis: There is a common statement that people say that sounds like this – “God won’t give you more than you can handle.” This is not found in the Bible. Sometimes the Lord gives us more than we can handle so that we depend and turn to Him. This was the story of Joseph’s life in the book of Genesis. He was the favored son of his father and acted like it as well. The Lord had great things in store for Joseph but he did not realize the journey to get there would be a long one. He is betrayed by his very own brothers and sold into slavery. It was in these hardships that the Lord grew in Joseph a deep and resilient faith. This Sunday, we will be looking at how to cultivate a resilient faith that lasts.

Fighter Verse: Romans 5:3-4 – “Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.”
