October 29 | Proverbs – The Wisdom of God for Today’s Issues: Part 13 – God’s Desire for Men and Women – Mark Pospisil

Synopsis: There is a lot of confusion in our world today. This is especially true when it comes to being a man or a woman. We are too easily influenced by what our culture says instead of what the Lord says. God has given us wisdom and direction through the book of Proverbs. It deals extensively with what the Lord desires for manhood and womanhood. When we rightly understand God’s good design, we can live under His blessing and become the people He desires.

Fighter Verse: Proverbs 31:30 – Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

FAMILY SERVICE | OCT 29

This Sunday, October 29, is a family service Sunday! All kids 1st – 5th will be joining their families in the Worship Center. We look forward to seeing you there!

CIDER & DONUTS | OCT 29

This Sunday, following all three services we will have Cider & Donuts.

Long’s Orchard located in Commerce Twp. has been extremely generous to us. Between Harvest Fest and this Sunday, they have donated 50 gallons of cider and about 60 dozen donuts! Make sure you stop by and grab some after service!

GRACE MARRIAGE | NOV 3

That’s why the Lakes Church is committed to supporting marriages. Our new ministry, Grace Marriage, is our discipleship pathway that equips couples to GROW TOGETHER. When a couple puts their marriage under the grace of Christ and intentionally works on it, it will grow into a more enjoyable and God-glorifying union. Join us at our monthly meetings as we learn together how to grow closer to God and each other and strengthen our marriages.

We will meet on the first Friday of each month beginning November 3 from 7-9 PM in the Children’s Large Group Room for 13 sessions. The cost of the program is $99.99 per couple (plus shipping for the books). Click the sign-up button to register and receive the link to pay for and attend the sessions.

Core Ministries – Weekly Update

The example of Hannah praying for a son is one of the importance of prayer. Not just a routine, mundane type of prayer. But the prayer to a Father with power, confidence, and a persistent expectation that He will hear and listen to those prayers! What an important lesson for all of us to hear and act upon each day!

EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:15 Sunday services.

ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during The 9:30 and 11:15 services and Wednesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!
