April 6 | Romans – Grasping The Gospel, Romans 14:10-23, Part 54: There is One Judge, and It’s Not You – Pastor Mark Pospisil
Synopsis: The Bible is clear and our conscience also testifies to the fact that one day we will give an account of ourselves to God. The Lord is the Judge of the whole earth and His judgment is the only one that matters and that will last. In light of this, we are not to hypocritically judge others, because there is only one judge, and it is not us. The end of Romans 14 deals with pursuing peace and mutually upbuilding the church while dealing with areas of disagreements. The Lord desires us to be unified and free. Romans 14 shows us how the gospel transforms us to live in peace with others that we see things differently.
Fighter Verse: Romans 14:10 – Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God

What’s Happening?
GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE – 4/18 AT NOON
Join us on APRIL 18 at noon at The Lakes Church for a Good Friday Service, as we remember Jesus dying on the cross for us.
SEDER SERVICE – 4/18 AT 6:30PM
Please join us for another special ceremonial Seder Service on Good Friday (April 18th) at 6:30pm at Bay Pointe Golf Club (4001 Haggerty Rd, West Bloomfield Township, MI 48323), as our guests from Jews For Jesus guide us through the Passover meal (NOT a full meal!), and see how it points to our Savior, Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God who took our sins upon Himself! Read more about what the Seder is all about here.
Childcare will not be available. If you are bringing guests, we ask that you register them all together, so we know to seat you at the same table.
EASTER SUNDAY – 4/20
On Easter Sunday, we celebrate the cornerstone of Christianity, the resurrection of Jesus and the new life He gives to us! This year we will have FOUR services, and we can’t wait to celebrate with each of you at one of them! Join us at 7:30am, 9:00am, 10:30am or 12:00pm, with full Lakes Children programming available in the 9:00am, 10:30am and 12:00pm services!
We will also have baptism at all services on Easter. Please fill out this form to let pastor Mark know if you are interested in getting baptized!

Core Ministries – Weekly Update
Jesus heals a paralyzed man! Can you imagine seeing this! We’ll be talking about how all of Jesus’ miracles demonstrated His authority and the importance of His teachings. And, more importantly, that Jesus’ authority wasn’t constrained to only fixing physical problems!
EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:15 Sunday services.
ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during the 9:30 and 11:15 services and Wednesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!

WEDNESDAY YOUTH GROUP – Middle School and High School students meet on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm for a combined youth group service in Lakes West (7150 Cooley Lake Rd, shared upper parking lot).
High School students meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday at 6:30pm at Lakes West.

MONDAY NIGHT YOUNG ADULT GROUP – Young adults ages 18 (post high school) – 29, join us for young adult ministry on Mondays from 7:00-9:00pm. We meet weekly in Waterford, with the occasional offsite location. Email Ministry leader Dave Borowicz for location and questions.
