December 8 | Romans – Grasping The Gospel, Romans 10:14-17, Part 40: Commissioned for a Mission – Pastor Mark Pospisil
Synopsis: We are commissioned by Jesus for a mission. Our mission at The Lakes Church is to know Christ and to make Him known. When we really know Jesus, the natural overflow is that we will want others to know and believe in Him. But, how are they to believe unless someone is sharing with them? This is the question that is addressed in this section of Romans. Faith comes from hearing the good news and God’s Word. This morning we will see the clear calling God has placed on our lives to bless others and also how to grow in our faith.
Fighter Verse: Romans 10:17 – So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

BAPTISM – 12/15
Baptism is the natural next step once we are saved! It represents the new life that Jesus’ resurrection gives us and is a public sign of our faith in Christ. If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, we invite you to take this opportunity to demonstrate your faith in Christ.
We will have an opportunity to get baptized during all services on this Sunday. Please fill out this form to let me know you are interested in getting baptized!

Core Ministries – Weekly Update
Throughout the Old Testament, the consequences of sin were obvious. In many ways, the separation from God seemed hopeless. But hundreds of messages from all throughout that time came telling of a coming Messiah – One who would rescue people from their sins. Isaiah and Micah were two of those prophets – and, hundreds of years later, their messages came true!
EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:15 Sunday services.
ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during the 9:30 and 11:15 services and Wednesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!

Christmas Party – December 13th 6:30-9pm
WEDNESDAY YOUTH GROUP – Middle School and High School students meet on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm for a combined youth group service in Lakes West (7150 Cooley Lake Rd, shared upper parking lot).
