November 24 | Romans – Grasping The Gospel, Romans 9:19-33, Part 38: God’s Sovereignty, Election and Israel – Part 2 – Pastor Mark Pospisil
Synopsis: It has been said before, “If God were small enough to be understood He would not be big enough to be worshipped.” He rules overall and will be glorified in all things. The Lord is so beyond us yet He makes Himself known to us and calls us to Himself. He is the Potter, we are the clay. This section of Romans continues to unpack some aspects of God’s sovereignty, election and His plan for Israel. It is clear that when we believe in Jesus, we are called by God. Knowing the Lord and His power should produce a solid, strong, faith-filled, joy-overflowing life because it depends not on you but on Him. We don’t want to become the frozen chosen, where you have no heart for the lost, no desire for the salvation of the nations and those around you and you are unmoved in your faith.
Fighter Verse: Romans 9:20 – But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, “Why have you made me like this?”

THANKSGIVING SERVICE – MONDAY, NOV 25 AT 6:30PM
We are excited to host a Thanksgiving Service again this year, on the Monday before Thanksgiving! Join us as we reorient our thankfulness towards God and celebrate together all that He has done!
We will have childcare available for ages birth-4 on the 2nd floor of the building.
DISCOVERING THE LAKES – 12/8
New around here? Join us for lunch in the large group room (219) upstairs after the third service at 12:45pm and get to know The Lakes; our mission, leadership, core values, ministries, and where you fit in! Discovering the Lakes is once every other month, so please take note of the date here!

BAPTISM – 12/15
Baptism is the natural next step once we are saved! It represents the new life that Jesus’ resurrection gives us and is a public sign of our faith in Christ. If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, we invite you to take this opportunity to demonstrate your faith in Christ.
We will have an opportunity to get baptized during all services on this Sunday. Please fill out this form to let me know you are interested in getting baptized!

Core Ministries – Weekly Update
The Israelites have been facing their history of sin – never a fun day when that happens! But we all have to do it and our response generally leads us down one of two potential paths. We’ll be talking about what those look like as we explore Romans 8 this week!
EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:15 Sunday services.
ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during the 9:30 and 11:15 services and Wednesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!

Friday Fun Night – Game Night at Lakes West | November 22 at 6pm
Christmas Party – December 13th 6pm
WEDNESDAY YOUTH GROUP – Middle School and High School students meet on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm for a combined youth group service in Lakes West (7150 Cooley Lake Rd, shared upper parking lot).
