September 15 | Romans – Grasping The Gospel, Romans 8:26-28, Part 28: Praying Through Our Cares, Tears, and Fears – Pastor Mark Pospisil
Synopsis: Prayer is a powerful gift that the Lord has given to us. Sometimes, we are going through hard trials or other circumstances and we do not even know how to pray or what to pray for. The Lord has blessed us with another gift. He has given us the Spirit to help us in our weakness. The Spirit intercedes for us and guides us in all the truth. He helps us to be able to pray through our cares, tears and fears. This morning, we are going to see how the Spirit “comforts” us in our lives and through the powerful act of prayer.
Fighter Verse: Romans 8:26 – “Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”

Rooted is designed for all people but especially new people to the church, new Christians, and those who are looking for a refresh to their spiritual lives. This is a 10-week study of the foundational aspects of the Christian faith.

FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY | SEPTEMBER 19
This 9-week course, facilitated by Eric & Nichole Husa, will be held Thursday evenings in Lakes West at the Lakes Church from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. The cost is $67 per individual/couple.

Core Ministries – Weekly Update
I mean, a hand just appears and the fingers write a message on a wall? What?!? Do you have a guy to call if that ever happened to you? Well….Daniel had been faithful before in many things, and that faithfulness caused him to have more and more opportunities before the king. What would our lives look like if we committed to be faithful just one day at a time?
EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:15 Sunday services.
ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during the 9:30 and 11:15 services and Wednesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!

WEDNESDAY YOUTH GROUP – Middle School and High School students meet on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm for a combined youth group service in Lakes West (7150 Cooley Lake Rd, shared upper parking lot).

Monthly Prayer | Lakes Women meet for prayer the first Saturday of each month from 9:30am to 10:30am!
Quarterly “Chat-a-latte” gathering | Coffee/Tea & fellowship in the lower level Atrium
Seasonal Bible Studies | Join us for our Fall Bible Study – Starved by Amy Seiffert. This will be a 6-week study on Thursdays. We will have a daytime (10:30-12pm) and evening (6:30-8pm) study that are going through the same book.
