July 7 | Summer at The Lakes: Finding Your Joy – Pastor Chris Clark
Synopsis: Our lives as ambassadors of Christ are like billboards that point to Jesus. Perhaps the most effective life “billboard” is the joy that Jesus brings into our lives. Yet it is important to know that the joy that is in Christ is not a smiley face that is visible 24/7. Instead, it is the quality to endure—to get back up and keep going after getting knocked down—because we know that Jesus is in control; that He is good; that He loves us; and that His plan is always best. It is that joy that is a main target for Satan. If he can rob us of our joy, then as joy-less Christ followers, we can be neutralized in our life as a billboard that displays Jesus’ life-changing power. How do we find that joy? How do we keep that joy? Paul gives us some vital steps to take in Philippians 4:4-9.

40 DAYS THROUGH THE NEW TESTAMENT | JUNE 17
We want everybody to be involved in seeking the Lord through His Word. Listen to what Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” All it takes is 28 minutes a day to read through the New Testament in 40 days.

FAMILY CAMPOUT | JUNE 9

This is our annual church family outing to Somerset Beach Campground! Bring your camper or tent and camping gear for this fun weekend at the lake. Play on the beach, hike, swim, play volleyball or softball, sit around the bonfire, or just relax with friends. The cost for the campsite is $77 per campsite for 2 nights. EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:15 Sunday services.
ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during the 9:30 and 11:15 services and Wednesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!
