Seeking God | Day 7
Matthew 9:37-38
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
What Jesus was teaching His disciples in these verses is incredibly important. There are many people in need of redemption from the Lord, but there are few people doing the work of the Kingdom. The reasons for this are endless. We get distracted with life, we get bogged down with sin, we lose our passion for God’s glory, our love grows cold, or we drift toward being lukewarm and indifferent in our faith. May that not be true with The Lakes! Let us fervently ask the Lord to do a work in us, and through us, that will last for eternity. May we be a church that can be used to labor for the glory of the Lord in everything we do! Let us be a church that trains and raises up laborers for the harvest field. Let us also answer the call to preach the gospel to others.
PRAYER – Just as Jesus told us, pray that the Lord would raise up and send out men and women from our church to serve Him. That pastors, elders, church-planters, and missionaries would be raised up and sent out from The Lakes.
