August 17 | Ordinary People, Extraordinary God – Judas, The Betrayer, John 13:21-30 – Pastor Mark Pospisil
Synopsis: One of the most infamous people in the Bible is Judas. He committed the largest betrayals in the history of the world. He sold out the Son of God for 30 pieces of silver and a kiss. How did Judas get to this point? He followed Jesus for almost three years and he heard most of Jesus’ teaching and witnessed countless miracles. He even became the treasurer, which was a trusted position among the disciples. He looked and played the part as a disciple of Jesus but he was a fake. The Scriptures teach us so much from Judas’ life to avoid his tragic mistake. Judas is an example of what happens when we try to use Jesus instead of worshipping and trusting in Him.
Fighter Verse: John 13:21 – After saying these things, Jesus was troubled in his spirit, and testified, “Truly, truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me.”

THEOLOGY REFRESH | 8/23 at 10am
We’re excited to introduce Theology Refresh—a once-a-month Saturday class designed to deepen your understanding of God’s Word and strengthen your faith. Each month, we’ll explore a different theological topic in a way that’s both engaging and accessible, whether you’re new to the faith or have been walking with Jesus for years. Come ready to learn, ask questions, and be refreshed in your knowledge of who God is and what He has done.
Join us at 10am in the large group room in the upper level of the church.
WOMEN’S FALL BIBLE STUDY | begins 9/18
Join us for a new Women’s Bible Study as we dive into Unoffendable by Brant Hansen — a powerful, funny, and challenging look at what it really means to live with grace, humility, and a heart that chooses peace over offense.
Together, we’ll explore how letting go of anger and choosing forgiveness can transform our relationships, our mindset, and our faith. This is a great study for women in every season of life — and a perfect time to invite a friend!

Core Ministries – Weekly Update
EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:15 Sunday services.
ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during the 9:30 and 11:15 services and Wednesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!

Middle School on High School Youth Group on break until Labor Day.
WEDNESDAY YOUTH GROUP – Middle School and High School students meet on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm for a combined youth group service in Lakes West (7150 Cooley Lake Rd, shared upper parking lot).
High School students meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday at 6:30pm at Lakes West.

MONDAY NIGHT YOUNG ADULT GROUP –Looking for community, purpose, and real connection? Join our Young Adult Ministry—a place to grow in faith, build friendships, and navigate life together. Whether you’re in college, starting your career, or figuring things out—we’ve got a seat for you! Ages 18 (post high school) through 29, join us on Mondays from 7:00-9:00pm. We meet weekly at Lakes West (7150 Cooley Lake Rd, shared upper parking lot). Email Ministry leader Dave Borowicz with any questions.
