May 25 | Memorial Day – 2025: Passing on Your Faith to the Next Generation; Deuteronomy 6:4-9 – Pastor Mark Pospisil
Synopsis: Memorial Day is an important part of our history and lives. It is a time to remember those who have gone before us and their sacrifice. Throughout the Scriptures we see the importance of remembering God’s faithfulness and power. We also see the devastating effects when we fail to do that. We are to know the Lord and what it means to walk with Him. Something that is essential is that we pass down our faith to the next generation. We can’t just keep it to ourselves but we have to teach our children what it means to know Christ. The Lord has made it clear to us how crucial that is and also how to do that. This morning, we are going to see how to pass our faith to the next generation.
Fighter Verse: Deuteronomy 6:6-7 – And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.

FRIDAY FUN NIGHT – 6/6
Rescheduled to June 6
Oh yeah – it’s gonna be awesome! Everything backwards all night long!!! Dinner, Games, Music…who knows what else?!?
Come join us from 6:30pm-9:00pm in the upper level of the church. Open to all children in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
FAMILY CAMPOUT – 6/20-22
This is our annual church family outing to Somerset Beach Campground! Bring your camper or tent and camping gear for this fun weekend at the lake. Play on the beach, hike, swim, play volleyball or softball, sit around the bonfire, or just relax with friends. The cost for the campsite is $77 per campsite for 2 nights. Core Ministries – Weekly Update
We love learning about the teachings of Jesus…..so…..this week we’re gonna tackle just a little question: Does Jesus care more about what I believe or about what I do? Whew! Not a simple answer, but an important one for children and adults alike!
EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:15 Sunday services.
ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during the 9:30 and 11:15 services and Wednesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!

WEDNESDAY YOUTH GROUP – Middle School and High School students meet on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm for a combined youth group service in Lakes West (7150 Cooley Lake Rd, shared upper parking lot).
High School students meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday at 6:30pm at Lakes West.
MONDAY NIGHT YOUNG ADULT GROUP – Looking for community, purpose, and real connection? Join our Young Adult Ministry—a place to grow in faith, build friendships, and navigate life together. Whether you’re in college, starting your career, or figuring things out—we’ve got a seat for you! Ages 18 (post high school) through 29, join us on Mondays from 7:00-9:00pm. We meet weekly at Lakes West (7150 Cooley Lake Rd, shared upper parking lot). Email Ministry leader Dave Borowicz with any questions.
