December 29 | Proverbs 3:5-6, One Life To Live – Pastor Mark Hovermale
Synopsis: The fact is that we all have just one life to live. In order to live it well we need help and guidance. Proverbs 3:5-6 is a very famous passage from the Old Testament which offers us great instruction on how to live a faithful life for God. Trusting in God with all we have is the key to this great passage. What exactly does trust in God mean? Where does our knowledge and obedience come into play in living a life for God? As we enter into a new year, we will see and hear a clear calling from Proverbs 3 to put our trust in God and follow Him with our whole life along with practical instruction on how to do this.
Fighter Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

What’s Happening?
NO 8:00AM SERVICE | DECEMBER 29
On Sunday December 29 we will not have an 8:00am service. We will resume our regular three service times on Sunday January 5, 2025.
FAMILY SERVICE | DECEMBER 29
5th Sunday at The Lakes means Family Service! There will be no Lakes Children program for Elementary Age (1st-5th grade) this Sunday. We invite children in this age group to worship together with their families this Sunday! Early childhood (ages Birth-Kindergarten) still available during both the 9:30am and 11:15am services upstairs.
ROOTED | JANUARY 16
Rooted is designed for all people but especially new people to the church, new Christians, and those who are looking for a refresh to their spiritual lives. This is a 10-week study of the foundational aspects of the Christian faith.
This group has limited spaces. Fill out the form to let us know you’re interested.
WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY | JANUARY 23
Join us for our Bible Study – The Names of God. This will be a 6-week study on Thursdays beginning January 23rd. We will have a morning (10:00-12:00pm) and evening (6:30-8:30pm) study that are going through the same book. Cost is $12

Core Ministries – Weekly Update
EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:15 Sunday services.
ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during the 9:30 and 11:15 services and Wednesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!
UPCOMING EVENTS:
Family Service | December 29. Early Childhood during the 9:30 and 11:15 services only. Elementary aged kids invited to join us in service.
WEDNESDAY YOUTH GROUP – Middle School and High School students meet on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm for a combined youth group service in Lakes West (7150 Cooley Lake Rd, shared upper parking lot).
