This Week | October 4 – 10, 2024
October 6 | Romans – Grasping The Gospel, Romans 8:28, Part 31: The Greatest Verse in the Bible (Part 3) – Pastor Mark Pospisil
Synopsis: The Lord promised to work all things for good for His people in Romans 8:28. We looked at what this means and understanding God’s sovereignty. We also examined how to understand it when facing suffering and trials. For our third week, we are going to see how this teaches us about God’s providence. What does this mean? Simply put, it means that God is for us. Romans 8:28 shows us that God cares, guides, protects, and has plans for us in Christ Jesus. This promise gives us great assurance and also stirs up our faith. When we grasp that the Lord really cares for us, we can handle anything and also see that He is working in all things for our good.
Fighter Verse: Isaiah 46:9-10 – “remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose.’
