October 19 | Job, Let God Be God – Part 7: The Problem of Evil and Suffering, Job 6-7 – Pastor Mark Pospisil
Synopsis: Job now finds himself on the defense. He is being falsely accused by his friends. He is confused and vexed. Job feels like the Lord has left him. He is suffering emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Nobody in this book can get their mind around the problem of evil and suffering. The “problem” of evil has been said like this – If God allows evil and suffering to continue because He can stop it but won’t, He is all powerful but not good. If God allows evil and suffering to continue because He can’t stop it, He can be good but He is not all-powerful. What we see throughout the Bible is that God is both all-powerful and good. There is a different solution to solving this perceived problem. When we see the cross and resurrection of Christ, we find the solution to our deepest issues, especially when it comes to suffering.

HARVEST FEST | OCTOBER 23
Harvest Fest is our annual celebration of all things fall! We’ll have a huge trunk-or-treat, hot cider, donuts and other yummy fall foods, music, candy and fun activities.
Come dressed in your Halloween costume and invite all your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers along to enjoy a night of fall fun on October 23rd, 6:30-8:30pm! This event is open to anyone and everyone!
*Park in the upper lot, and come down the stairs to join the fun!*
If you’d like to donate candy, drop it off at the Welcome Desk any Sunday morning leading up to Harvest Fest!

THEOLOGY REFRESH | OCTOBER 25
Join us for Theology Refresh—a once-a-month Saturday class designed to deepen your understanding of God’s Word and strengthen your faith. Each month, we’ll explore a different theological topic in a way that’s both engaging and accessible, whether you’re new to the faith or have been walking with Jesus for years. Come ready to learn, ask questions, and be refreshed in your knowledge of who God is and what He has done.

Core Ministries – Weekly Update
During Jesus’ trial, he faced the plotting of the chief priests, the scoffing of those in the crowd, and the disciples scattering. Despite each of these realities stacked against Jesus, the reveal the reality of our Savior’s CHOICE to step forward toward the cross willingly as the perfect substitute for our sins!
EARLY CHILDHOOD – Early Childhood (Birth – Kindergarten) program available during the 9:30 and 11:15 Sunday services.
ELEMENTARY AGE (1st-5th grade) – Elementary age program available Sundays during the 9:30 and 11:15 services and Wednesday Kids Creek from 6:30-8pm during the school year!
INFANT AND TODDLER STORYTIME – Looking for a Christ-centered way to break up your day, and get to meet other Moms with Littles? Come check out The Lakes Children Infant & Toddler Story Time. Ages 4 and under. 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 10am-12pm in the upper level of the church.
